About Pastor Henry

Michael Dwayne Henry II is a native of Houston, TX. After relocating to the Texarkana area as a child, Pastor Henry was educated in the Texarkana Arkansas School District, graduating from Arkansas High School in 2001. After his brief service in the Armed Forces, Pastor Henry returned to Texarkana. Pastor Henry received his call into the ministry in 2005. He was licensed and served as a minister under Bishop Larry Benson, Sr. of Faith and Hope Temple Outreach Ministries. Following the voice of God, Pastor Henry was led to New Boston, TX in 2009, where he served as Associate Minister under Pastor David Hood of Prosperity Baptist Church. He was ordained in August of 2009. In March of 2013, Pastor Henry was elected to serve as Senior Pastor of Arkadelphia Baptist Church in New Boston, TX. He would serve the Arkadelphia community faithfully until his resignation in December of 2024.

Pastor Henry currently holds a bachelor’s degree in Biblical and Theological Studies and is currently a graduate student at Liberty University seeking his master’s degree in Biblical Exposition. Pastor Henry recently served as: 

• Vice President - Zion District Congress of Christian Education 

• Dean - Zion District Congress of Christian Education 

• President of the Young Pastors Division - BM&E State Convention of Texas 

• Dean of Youth Division, BM&E State Congress of Christian Education. 

Pastor Henry is married to Amanda Nero Henry, who is employed by Liberty Eylau Independent School District as the Assistant Principal at the high school campus. Together they have three children: Landen (21), Micah (13), and Caleb (10).
